OK so it looks like I am going to stay in Temple. I have a meeting today with an advisor to schedule my classes for next semester where I can decide what my film path would be. I want to do the internship thing if they offer it in New York studios otherwise I think they will send me to Los Angeles.
The second week of May is going to be the busiest ever. I have to move out of my dorm by the 11th. On the 12th I am going to boogie down with Karen at her prom. Then on the 13th I am leaving with Karen and Danielle to go to South Carolina and see Alex. It should be fun. We will be there for the whole weekend and hang out in Charleston.
Ohh yeah yesterday was Shayna's Birthday so happy birthday. We all just ate at the cafeteria with no cake ot candle sadly, but it was fun and I am probably not going to see her ever again because she is transfering to college in California so good luck with that.
Finals are going to kill me and I need to start working on things, including packing my things to move out from here.
Ohh yeah and I am going back to Brazil with Josh, Joe, Pasma, and Melanie aparently, again, in August. It sucks though because I would have loved to spend this whole summer with Karen, but we still get most of the summer. It's gonna be tough being away from her for a month, but hopefullly she is willing to get through it with me. I love you so much. Two more weeks before I get out of school, and we get to spend more time together. Hooray!!! <('u'<)

So the topic of this month in my house is what I want to do in life because they don't seem to compute the fact that I want to go to Kean University and ultimately teach communications in High School. Anyway...

I have been trying to get this transfer stuff sorted out but I can't rely on anyone so I am doing it myself, but even than no one feels like answering my questions. It's like you need to hold a gun to someone's head to get them to answer a simple question like, "what is the NJ requirement to teach communications." You'd be surprised how hard it is to get an answer to that question.

All that has been good is Karen and my sister. Karen has been giving me lots of love, which I greatly appreciate and return even more love LOL. My sis was denied admission to North Eastern, but NE doesn't deserve her anyway. She is probably gonna go to Kean with me and transfer somewhere else later, but she has been supporting me when my parents didn't. I love both my sister and Karen very much.

So I haven't updated in a long time due to the fact that I just had spring break...

Spring Break was very productive: for one I got to spend a lot of time with Karen, whome I love with all my heart and love to spend time with. I woke up early every morning to take her and jonothan to school, and picked karen up after school. One of those days the weather was really nice so I surprised Karen with a picnic in the park. I t was a little muddy but with her it was beautiful, I carried her on my back so she wouldn't get dirty LOL. I als osurprised her one day by fixing her bedroom door. I also got to spend some quality time with jonothan, momma karen, and poppa karen. LOL... I really liked spending all that time with Karen. I love her so much.

Also during spring break I finally told my parents that I want to become a communications teacher and want to transfer out of temple. They didn't take it well, but I am making progress and am looking into transfering to Kean next semester. Everyone is behind me except my dad, but I'll prove him wrong.

Besides all that spending all the time with Karen was great. Ohh yeah we even had a dinner at Karen's mom's house where she got to meet my parents. That was a lot of fun. It just brings our families closer togethert which is a good thing in my opinion.

I can't remember much at this very moment, but if I do I'll update later...

Birthday aftermath...

How is everybody. I see I have somebody other than Karen reading my blog now... WOOO HOO... Although I don't know who it is, but if anybody does read this blog please leave comments. I like them.

Anyway onto business. I went home for my birthday 3-1-05. It was pretty cool. I got home picked up Karen we hung out and had fun at my house. Then my mom, dad, sis, karen, titi mena, and titi ao went to Jose Tejas to have an impromptu birthday jambori. Funny story my mom thought Jose Tejas was Jose Texas but with a Mexican accent, which made it sound like Tejas. You had to be there. Anyway when we got there we were suprised by my cousin Steve and his girlfriend Sharon. (I think thats her name) So we all ate and did crazy stuff. I took pictures, which I will be posting soon. Karen and I also took some really hilarious pictures. We always have fun when we are together. So much fun I can't stand being away from her.

Now I am in school and thinking about writing my paper for Intellectual Herritage. I made up my own paper topic where I am going to talk about Plato's idea of a Utopia and comparing it to fictional representations of Utopias and how its unrealistic and impossible. You know all that Jazz. I just have to start it sooner or later.

By the way this weekend whoever feels like seeing "Be Cool" for my Birthday party extension give me a call. the world is welcome. We will most likely go to Jersey Gardens.

Monday, Monday

I had a shorter weekend than normal because of my lunch with the vice-provost, which was good. He's a pretty cool guy with big plans for us as far as showing off our project. For example he wants us to present at this convention in April and he also wants to make a collage of the photos from our trip a "permanant" fixture in Tuttleman, which is an important building. That would be awesome so our legacy can live on. LOL

This weekend was not my normal weekend. Karen's mom had surgery, which inhibited her ability to climb staris, and since there is no bathroom on her second floor she is staying at a hotel room in Rochelle Park. So I went up there a couple of times to drop off and pick up Karen and Jonathan. Then on Sunday I got to introduce Karen to a huge chunk of my family in the USA at a party for a family members 60th birthday. She enjoyed herself and everyone loved her so that was great. We also watched the films Saw and Taxi. I also got a letter from Alex so i am going to write him back soon.

Besides that Karen has been feeling down the past week so I tried cheering herself up, but a lot of things are going on in her life now. Things will work out though and she will be ok soon. I'll just keep on loving her.

Hopefully I'll get to see my family and Karen tommorow for my Birthday. they are supposed to drive up, but the snow might keep them at home. I hope it wont though.

It's Thursday and I'm not home?

Yes its Thursday lovely Thursday, the day where I usually get to go home, but not today. This friday is supposed to be my Lunch with the vice-provost of undergraduate affairs, Peter Jones. He's this crazy former criminal justice real Irish man with an Irish accent. He is the big wig responsible for sending us down to Brazil. Well anyway this is like the third or fourth time he has cancelled on us, but hopefully he is serious this time. The only thing that sucks though is I had no classes today so i could have gone home on Wednesday night, but ohh well. It is also better this way probably so that Karen can work on her script for Digital filmmaking.

So my Spring Break is coming up after next week. I am excited about that one... ohh and my birthday is tuesday, which means I'll just be in school. I really don't know what to do for my birthday... It's not like at 19 I could do more than at 18, and Alex and Blair are away, Derek doesn't like me... I don't know we are just falling apart, but I'll work on building us up again. For my Birthday I am probably just going to go to the movies with Karen, Dave, Majad, and my sister. I don't know it kind of sucks.

This weekend Karen is coming to a party with my family and I. She is going to get to meet all of my mathers family in the USA. It's funny becasue my sister and mother were talking and said that they need to call ahead and say that this is Karen a girl that they like... not allison, because my mom and sis always talked bad about her to my family at the party. So just to clarify to them so they don't purposely treat Karen baddly. They wouldn't anyway. i think she'll like it.

SO yeah spring break coming and I'll get to spend lots of time with Karen. I just don't want to distract her too much.. LOL

Over the weekend while I was at home I had a roomate move in. He's a cool guy his name his Trey. Unlike Kobi he actually put stuff in the room. Other than that he is just pretty quiet.

So I finally talked with Derek. So I understand his situation better now. I apoligized for the misunderstanding and everything and gave my side of the story, but for now Derek doesn't seem very interested in becoming friends again. I just don't want our other friends to suffer.

One of the things I tried to do was explain the relationship between Karen and I. It is hard for people to understand unless they went through it. We had a long discucssion about how peopole wouldn't understand.

School is going ok just worried a bit about my FMA 155 class since I missed so many classes and labs. I guess I'll have to leave either extremely early on monday like I usually do to make that class, which means I wake up at 5:30. Or I leave Sunday Afternoon, but I don't want to leave Karen. LOL. I guess I'll just wake up early...

The weekend

The best part of my week, like most people, is the weekend, but it is not for the same reason. The weekend is when I get to come back home and spend time with my girlfriend and family. This weekend we got to do some pretty cool things like I let her drive my Pickup and we did some practice with maneuvering, where I taught her some of my tricks. Another cool thing we did is take my camera to her father's house where we all took pictures. I didn't get to see the ones I took, but I am told they are cool. Probably because I purposely tried to get funny pictures. I also experimented with black and white film for the first time so I want to see how it came out. I just have so much fun when I am with her.

On another note I miss Alex. I really don't have any friends now, but atleast Karen and I have eachother.

Also on another side note going along with Karen's Live journal. I do hate ex partners who are mean. I was trying to get my N64 back from Allison only to find out that she gave it to some other guy. That sucks especially since it is my N64 it has sentimental value to me. What a screwed up thing to do.

My N64 and I go back a long time. Next to Karen and my family it is one of the most beloved things in my life. (>-_-)> I'm sad about that. It's such a crappy thing to do.

But you know what sure it sucks that its gone. I do wish I could get it back, but one thing that I learned through my travels is that materialistic values suck. Sure it's gone, but I am happy with Karen and love is all i really need. Seriously...lol.

Why do I right my blogs the day after?

So yesterday I didn't have to wake up early because my Film lecture was cancelled due to the fact that Prof. Barber has the flu. I hate to be happy especially since the old man is sick, but c'mon... film lecture was cancelled... all riiiiiight! So anyway I slept in late, gave the Brazil tapes to Josh so he can view them with Melanie, the Brazillian film student in Honors College. Not much happening except playing DDR with Kevin, Avi, and Laurel. Ohh I suck by the way, but I put on a pretty good show.

In official news I helped Kevin get his recordings for his voice over project. It was pretty cool because I turned my bathroom into a recording booth by insulating the room with sound absorbing materials like pillows and my non existant roomates blanket. I used my super-cardioid mic and the recording came out really well. There was obviously some hiss from the camera, but on Premiere I just lowered the Treble in EQ and it sounds great.

Nothing much besides that. Karen and I had a really long conversation on the phone not about bad stuff we just like talking. Its good becasue keeping the lines of communication opened especially when we are apart helps keep our relatioinship healthy. I can't complain. I am so happy when I am with Karen. I remember being in the freezing cold with her once outside for awhile, freezing to death, but I had a smile on my face. <('u'<)
Enough of that. I talk too much about her. LOL

Crazy busyness at Temple

Funny things have occured yesterday. For starters I will explain a funny story:
Now I don't know if this is going to go through but I have been in random communication with this guy through the Temple Film List-serves to help a Haitian (random) music artist make a music video for Haitian Television. How weird is that. Out of all the people to make a Haitian music video it could be me, but hey it'll pay something. In other Film news I will be helping a Graduate student here at Temple, Sam Holdren, in the post-production of his film Audition.

In other cool things today. I went to my first Capoeira practice at this Capoeira de Angola school up a couple of blocks from my dorm. It's pretty cool, but not as cool as in Brazil. My mestre in brazil took the time to get to know all of his students and help make a bond between all of them. Here I was searching for awhile before I could find the Mestre, and not until the end did I get to know some students. In another funny note. While riding up there the chain on my bike got stuck and I was running late so I was walking with the bike through North Philly at night, not a good idea, but its's not so bad. They see a white guy walking with a bike at night they don't mess with them becasue the gangsters probably think I'm crazy for doing it. Also while at Capoeira I had to stop half way through becasue I started losing my vision and hearing again so I ate a candy bar and sat down.

After coming back from Capoeira Karen and I had a great conversation on the phone, full of laughs. It's so great how we can even have lots of fun on the phone, but I can't wait to go back home and see her again. On Friday I'm going up with her to Weehawken to see her cousin who invited us for dinner. I'm really excited about that. Can't wait.

Going away once again

It passed by again, the most depressing part of my week, my trip back to Temple at 6:00 in the morning. Two long hours on the train just counting the miles I am speeding off away from Karen. It sucks but I think I'll get used to it.

On the lighter side I finally attended an FMA 155 lecture and a FMA101 Lab. Both are cool and they understand why I wasn't able to attend. In FMA 101 we have a cool project about What we think about the world. I have a crazy idea where I'll do it in the Latin Lover voice and talk about how we should focus more on love and creation instead of hate and destruction, but make it really funny by slipping in random portuguese loving.

Also today in FMA155 we watched the original Psycho to see the conventions of the slasher film. After going to Temple I appreciate Alfred Hitchcock so much more. I have a list of films I'd like to see: Notorious, Vertigo, The Birds. Then Orson Wells: The Trial I would never have known about these films if it wheren't for my film classes.

I also am trying to talk to Derek. I am just not sure if I should just keep trying AIM or call him. I think we need to work things out so we can be freinds again. We went through too much in the past to just throw it away so easily. I realize I hurt him, but I also feel like it was unfortunate how I was unable to talk about it to him becasue of Brazil and stuff. Even then I don't think it should have been an issue.

Ohh crap my teacher is walking by let me swivel my laptop. OK safe.
